The United Performing Arts Fund - Milwaukee, WI (UPAF) would like to thank all of the generous individuals and companies in Waukesha County who contributed to the 2014 UPAF fundraising campaign. Your donations totaling $1,603,765 significantly impacted the record-breaking results of the 2014 Campaign, which raised more than $11.7 million to support the performing arts in Southeastern Wisconsin.
UPAF, the largest united fund in the country for the performing arts, is the single largest donor to our region’s premier performing arts groups, such as The Rep, Milwaukee Ballet, Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, First Stage and Florentine Opera Company. UPAF also supports a number of smaller Affiliates, including Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts - Brookfield, WI for the Arts, Sunset Playhouse and Wisconsin Philharmonic.
A robust and diverse performing arts scene benefits our entire region. Innovative companies and talented individuals are drawn to regions with a strong culture, and many of those businesses and employees reside in the suburbs. UPAF Member Groups provide arts education outreach that impacts almost 50,000 students in Waukesha County schools. And world-class entertainment is available within 30 minutes of Westside residents.
UPAF donors in Waukesha County play an important role in preserving this regional asset. For that, we say, “Thank you for being a vital part of the performance!”
